About The Position

This is a time-limited, full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits for a limited time, potentially extending up to 3 years. The position coordinates, reviews, evaluates, and audits two SEO grants for compliance, accuracy, and accountability: the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) $90 million grant from the US Department of Energy, and the U.S Inflation Reduction Act Sections 50121 and 50122 grants for Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) rebates and Home Electrification and Appliances Rebates (HEAR). This role assists in determining the financial condition and compliance of the grants with governmental accounting standards, North Carolina general statutes, and best practices in government finance. Fiscal oversight duties include ensuring adherence to policies and standards by providing counsel to internal and external grant stakeholders regarding procedures and requirements. The position applies generally accepted accounting standards, sound regulatory practices, and procedures to monitor the grants, and their subgrants and subcontracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution and 1 year of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly invoicing templates for subgrantees.
  • Process payments for invoices.
  • Run and analyze monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Assist with drafting of sub-agreements and subcontracts including amendments.
  • Request financial projections from subgrantees/subcontractors.
  • Assist with budget modifications and forecasts.
