About The Position

Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) is seeking a Grants Accountant to support our Senior Services and Housing programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order to complex financial information, takes pride in accuracy, and can manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality. Your work will help ensure that critical community programs remain financially sound, grant-compliant, and positioned to serve those who need them most.

Requirements

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and committed to producing accurate work
  • Reliable under pressure, able to meet recurring deadlines and adjust to changing priorities without becoming overwhelmed
  • Organized and disciplined, with strong follow-through and time management skills
  • Financially savvy, with experience managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and reconciling financial information
  • Compliance-minded, maintaining documentation and records that are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Analytical and proactive, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues before they become larger problems
  • A collaborative professional, capable of working effectively with program leadership and fiscal staff
  • Technically proficient, with strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting and financial software
  • Adaptable, willing to cross-train and support other fiscal functions as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Three years of accounting, grant accounting, nonprofit accounting, or fund accounting experience preferred
  • Experience working with multiple funding sources, budgets, and reporting requirements is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit reimbursement requests and grant billings
  • Monitor program budgets and assist with budget revisions and amendments
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies
  • Track expenditures and ensure compliance with grant requirements
  • Maintain accurate grant, contract, and property-related financial records
  • Review supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Support fiscal monitoring, contract compliance, and purchase order tracking
  • Assist with audits and maintain documentation that is consistently audit-ready
