Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Three (3) years of accounting experience is required; Five (5) years preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agency personnel
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and quality-focused.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with encounter-based billing and/or government grant reimbursement is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and validate encounter data for medical visits to support grant-funded reimbursement requests.
  • Prepare and submit reimbursement requests/invoices to grant funders in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Reconcile grant revenue to supporting documentation and general ledger.
  • Monitor grant receivables and follow up on outstanding reimbursements.
  • Prepare accurate and timely Financial Status Reports (FSRs) and other required financial reports.
  • Review expenditures to ensure allowability, allocability, and compliance with grant agreements and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor budgets to prevent overspending and identify variances.
  • Maintain documentation to support audits.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to grant activity.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support annual audit and grant-specific audits.
  • Partner with program managers to ensure financial compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Assist with grant analysis and other special projects as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
