Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4 to 6 years of nonprofit grants accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of restricted funding, compliance, and audit preparation
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills
  • A commitment to accuracy, organization, and ethical financial stewardship
  • The ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with program teams and funders

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of grant accounting for federal, state, and private awards
  • Build accurate grant setups that reflect budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor spending and trends to ensure funds are used responsibly and strategically
  • Prepare billings, reimbursement requests, and financial reports that tell a clear and accurate story
  • Maintain audit ready documentation and support Single Audit and SEFA preparation
  • Serve as a trusted partner to program leadership, helping them understand financial requirements and make informed decisions
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process improvements that elevate our grants management practices
