About The Position

STGi is currently seeking a Grantee Specialist to support our Head Start Training and Technical Assistance team. The Grantee Specialist (GS) MUST work remotely and reside in AZ, CA, or NV. The Grantee Specialist (GS) has a strong program design and management background to support our Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team in Region IX. The Grantee Specialist (GS) provides intensive on-site training and technical assistance to grant recipients based on Regional or Area Office assignments. The GS is deployed to work directly with recipients with program and management compliance findings identified through the federal monitoring process. These assignments require travel and the ability to work on-site for periods of time ranging from one day to several weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site, group and virtual TTA to grant recipients related to governance, program management, and fiscal operations, including supporting recipients in the following areas: The correction of areas of noncompliance and deficiencies identified through the federal monitoring process as directed by the RO.
  • The development and implementation of corrective action plans that address root causes of the areas of noncompliance and deficiencies for grant recipients, as directed by the Regional or Area Office.
  • Effective program management in areas of concern identified through the Regional or Area Office oversight processes.
  • Coordinate TTA with Early Childhood, Health, and Family Engagement Specialists to support effective integration of management systems related to improvements to education, family services and health services, as directed by the Regional or Area Office.
  • Support grant recipients to develop procedures and skills to aggregate, analyze, and use data obtained through multiple sources.
  • Develop and provide effective presentations and training in the areas related to program management and fiscal operations.
  • Maintains regular and timely communication with the appropriate Regional or Area Office staff on delivery of TTA and progress toward corrective actions or quality improvement.
  • Provides resources that are appropriate to support the corrective action (QIP) process for assigned recipients.
  • Provides all data entry of action steps and progress in required OHS reporting systems such as SmartHub, and the Head Start Enterprise System.
  • Participate in national, regional and state workgroups and meetings as directed by OHS and the GS Manager.
  • Supports emerging OHS initiatives and priorities.
