About The Position

The Part-Time Grant Writer supports the MRHC Foundation by researching funding opportunities; preparing and submitting compelling grant proposals; and tracking deadlines, applications, awards, and reporting requirements. This position collaborates with hospital leaders and community partners to identify funding needs and secure resources for MRHC programs, equipment, services, and community health initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
  • Strong knowledge of community development and engagement principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advanced grammar proficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
  • Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications that clearly articulate program goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program staff to collect data, success stories, and budget information necessary for grant submissions.
  • Manage grant calendars, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
  • Engage with community stakeholders and partners to strengthen proposals and demonstrate community impact.
  • Monitor and analyze public policy developments that may affect funding opportunities or program priorities.
  • Support fundraising efforts by contributing to donor communications and grant-related outreach activities.
