Grant Fiscal Specialist - Onsite - Full Time
About The Position
This role involves supporting budget planning for AZED, ensuring appropriate use of grant money across the department. The specialist will provide customer service and budget updates to internal departments and external sub-grantees. There is potential for this role to be extended beyond six months. The tentative start date is dependent on interviews, onboarding, and the state agency issuing a Purchase Order (PO). Background checks and drug screenings will be conducted through HireRight. This is a local-only position, requiring candidates to be in Phoenix and available for in-person interviews within one week of the posting close date. Candidates must also be able to start within two weeks of an offer being made.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to work with other departments to provide customer service and budget updates.
- Must be able to work with external sub-grantees on budget updates.
- Skilled in Excel/spreadsheets.
- Experience working with large amounts of money (millions of dollars).
- Experience using grant money appropriately.
- Resumes must specify the current location of the candidate.
- Candidates must be local at the time of submission.
- Candidates must be available for in-person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date.
- Candidates must be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made.
