About The Position

Goodstack is seeking an exceptionally thoughtful, detail-driven Grant Delivery Specialist to lead high-quality grant research, writing, and review for their nonprofit partners. This role involves helping nonprofits access more funding by identifying relevant opportunities, shaping strong applications, and ensuring accuracy and compelling narratives. The ideal candidate has a strong grant writing background, enjoys transforming complex program information into clear funding narratives, and wants their work to support organizations making a meaningful social impact.

Requirements

  • A STEM degree from a recognized university, or equivalent evidence of strong analytical thinking.
  • 5 years of grant writing experience, ideally for nonprofits, charities, or mission-led organizations.
  • Understanding of funding landscapes, eligibility criteria, funder priorities, and what makes a proposal competitive.
  • Ability to transform rough context into specific, persuasive, funder-ready narratives.
  • Confidence using AI tools to support research, drafting, editing, and quality assurance, understanding where human judgment is essential.
  • Ability to take responsibility, communicate early, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring deadlines, geographic nuances, funding restrictions, and structural requirements are met.
  • Partner-first communication style, combining warmth, clarity, and sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Process discipline, enjoying clear systems, well-managed workflows, and organizing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support nonprofit partners by leading onboarding, proactive check-ins, and clear communication via calls and email.
  • Research, evaluate, and curate relevant grants tailored to each organization’s mission, programs, eligibility, and funding needs.
  • Write compelling Letters of Intent (LOIs), grant applications, and supporting narratives aligned with funder requirements.
  • Utilize AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and iteration, ensuring accuracy, judgment, and tone are maintained.
  • Act as the lead expert reviewer, ensuring drafts are accurate, persuasive, funder-ready, and easy for nonprofits to use.
  • Manage delivery by balancing pace, quality, and care across multiple partner relationships, keeping work moving and expectations clear.
  • Build deep context by working closely with approximately 10-15 nonprofit partners at any given time, understanding their goals, programs, and impact.
  • Improve the grant support process to serve more nonprofits effectively without compromising quality.
