This position tracks and coordinates grant funding opportunities related to natural resources, fisheries, environmental issues, and climate change that benefit the Yakama Nations goals for traditional uses. The specialist will maintain and manage an inventory of grant opportunities and coordinate within the environmental section, within fisheries, and with various natural resource programs to identify fundable projects and match them with these opportunities. The position will assist in various levels of related documentation, including contracts, agreements, and reporting requirements. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of grant-funding to assess effectiveness and impact. Manages the development and operation of a record system to inventory and track all grants and sub-grants. To ensure compliance, documenting policies, procedures, and record keeping, and reporting regarding all grant activity within the Environmental Section of Fisheries. The work is characterized by the need to manage critical, complex, time-sensitive grant projects to delivery, on time and within budget.
