About The Position

The Grant Compliance Manager provides services to the Director’s Office and, under the supervision of the Deputy Director for Rural Health Grant Operations, manages day-to-day grant compliance monitoring and risk mitigation for Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). Authorized under Public Law 119-21, the RHTP is a five-year, approximately $1 billion federal investment intended to transform Virginia’s rural health care landscape and improve health outcomes for rural Virginians. Because the program is 100 percent federally funded, the role supports strong fiscal stewardship and compliance with federal requirements. The manager serves as an internal resource for protecting federal funds, mitigating financial and programmatic risk, maintaining documentation and audit readiness, and ensuring responsible administration of program resources throughout the grant period. This is a restricted position funded solely by federal grant funds. Funding availability is reviewed annually, and continued employment depends on the continued availability of funds. The position has in-office requirements driven by business needs, including in-person training or meetings and collaboration with DMAS stakeholders. Telework arrangements may be provided under applicable Commonwealth policy and may be modified or rescinded based on performance or business needs.
