About The Position

Granite Polisher Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure the dimensions stay the same Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework Ensure proper use of equipment Teamwork; helping coworkers in other stations if needed Maintain a clean station Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.) Ensure safety procedures are followed Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic knowledge in math (adding and subtracting measurements)
• Basic knowledge in maintenance
• Reading measuring tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
• Self-confidence
• Flexibility
• Initiative
• Safety oriented
• Intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire.
• Completion of a background check and/or drug screening may be required as a condition of employment, in accordance with local laws and client requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite, and Quartz
• Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields
• Experience in material polishing
• Experience operating a forklift
