About The Position

The Granby Connect Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Granby Connect, including managing drivers, vehicle management, vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and ensuring the overall success of the program. The primary goal is to ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of riders within the guidelines of the Granby Connect on-demand transportation system. The manager will provide approximately 30 hours of driving time per week and 10 hours of administrative work per week.

Requirements

  • Possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate, valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and accounting and payment software.
  • Adherence to personnel policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to defuse volatile situations and citizens.
  • Ability to work without supervision and in cooperation with a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of traffic rules and laws.
  • Ability to work closely with other employees, residents, and visitors.
  • General knowledge of Granby and Grand County.
  • Ability to sit or stand continuously for periods of two hours or more.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time (no CDL required).
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including copier, computer, fax machine, mailing machine, calculator etc.
  • Ability to reach into file drawers in standard four-drawer filing cabinets.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs or more.
  • Ability to conduct regular vehicle maintenance.
  • Hearing ability sufficient to hold a conversation with other individuals in both person and over a telephone.
  • Speaking ability sufficient to communicate effectively with other individuals in person or over a telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently provide on-demand shared transportation to citizens and visitors.
  • Operate designated vehicles, navigate roads, and drive in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and tire rotations, and diagnose minor issues.
  • Manage, schedule, and direct drivers to ensure service delivery according to directives.
  • Provide training to drivers and work to ensure a positive passenger experience.
  • Greet and interact with citizens professionally and courteously in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with app providers to ensure continued operations.
  • Analyze program performance, including hours of service, areas of service, staffing needs, and expenditures/revenues, to ensure community needs are met.
