About The Position

The Grain Transport Coordinator is responsible for coordinating corn needs between Production Scheduling, Packaging, grain transporters, and elevator operators. This position ensures the correct type and quantity of corn is delivered to the appropriate packaging bins in a timely and accurate manner to support production.

Requirements

Ability to apply general math concepts necessary to perform job duties.
Understanding of and experience working with units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, and scheduling instructions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and outside partners.
Ability to work independently, stay focused, and make decisions when addressing practical problems.
Ability to safely and proficiently operate a tractor and other equipment associated with the position.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing documentation.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to changing production needs.
Ability to follow safety, sanitation, housekeeping, and company procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of related experience or training preferred.
Experience working with grain, agricultural equipment, transportation, production, or material handling is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Packaging and elevators to ensure production corn needs are met.
Ensure the proper type and amount of corn is placed into packaging bins in a timely manner.
Operate equipment associated with the delivery and transfer of corn to packaging bins.
Accurately document all corn transfers and related information.
Perform Magnet documentation accurately and completely.
Operate a tractor proficiently and safely.
Communicate continually with Production Supervisors and Grain Transporters/Elevator Operators regarding corn needs, deliveries, and production requirements.
Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor or Field Department Manager.
Follow established housekeeping schedules and accurately complete required documentation.
Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and work instructions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
