About The Position

Under the direction of the Terminal/Location Manager, this role is responsible for safely completing work on a daily basis within the grain elevator. This includes assisting farmer/owners with dumping grain, performing preventive maintenance on the elevator and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. The specialist will also be involved in grain condition monitoring, advising on grain movement and aeration, and learning the software system for automation. Additionally, the role may involve loading trains at shuttle loaders and providing support to other company divisions, while adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hand equipment i.e.-scoops, brooms, scrappers, etc.
  • Machine knowledge, perform machine maintenance, and keep machines clean
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with company managers, employees, customers, stockholders, and outside third-party interests
  • Demonstrate organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and perform under schedules and deadlines
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrate a positive “Can Do” attitude; strong work ethic, self-starter that requires little supervision and has a high level of initiative
  • A valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL with Hazmat endorsement

Responsibilities
