About The Position

The Grain Operations Worker role supports daily grain operations through hands-on involvement in receiving, inspection, storage, and loading of corn and wheat across a large agricultural facility. This position includes unloading trucks, operating rail and locomotive equipment, running PLC systems for rail shed operations, and supporting extended unloading and loading activities during harvest seasons. Employees work across multiple areas of the site and are responsible for ongoing facility housekeeping and upkeep, including cleaning bins, pits, and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations. A strong safety mindset is essential, as this role requires attention to detail, following procedures, and working proactively to support safe grain movement. This position is well suited for motivated individuals with a farm, construction, or general labor background who are willing to learn, work as part of a team, and flex their schedule during peak harvest periods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience required
• Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
• Working conditions could include; dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
• Strong safety mindset is essential
• Attention to detail

• Willing to learn
• Work as part of a team
• Flex their schedule during peak harvest periods

Responsibilities

• Perform at least six tasks in the operations area contributing to customer service, grain conditioning and general facility upkeep
• Operate various types of mobile equipment
• Unloading trucks
• Operating rail and locomotive equipment
• Running PLC systems for rail shed operations
• Supporting extended unloading and loading activities during harvest seasons
• Ongoing facility housekeeping and upkeep, including cleaning bins, pits, and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations
