About The Position

This position performs operations activities related to Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) loadout, inspection, and general facility operations. The work takes place at an ethanol production facility that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The role is closely supervised, with clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks, and little autonomy.

Requirements

• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work in an environment that may include dust, fumes, moderate noise, uneven surfaces, and varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb, stoop, or kneel at heights up to 180 feet.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends during high-demand periods.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous grain operations experience.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities, such as probing trucks.
• Operate grain handling and receiving equipment, provide customer service to drivers, and enter shipment details.
• Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues, resolving or escalating them when necessary.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment.
• Assist with the movement of railcars.
• Perform general housekeeping activities.
