About The Position

The Grain Elevator Operator position is a hands-on role responsible for the receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain. This role involves monitoring the condition of stored grain and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of grain facilities and equipment. Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks within the grain handling process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends.
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading.
• Monitoring stored grain condition.
• Maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment.
• Ensuring a safe environment for self and fellow team members.
• Performing a variety of cross-trained tasks.
