About The Position
The Grain Elevator Operator role is a hands-on position focused on the receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain. This role involves monitoring the condition of stored grain and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of grain facilities and equipment. Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks within the grain handling process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Available to work overtime and weekends
- Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience with various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs.
- Experience handling bulk commodities like wheat, corn, soybeans, etc.
