About The Position

The Grain Accounting Clerk position at Bartlett in Great Bend, KS, is a day shift role with compensation starting at $21/hr. This role involves processing various grain accounting transactions, interpreting customer documents such as invoices, statements, and checks, and performing general accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors. Key responsibilities include processing timely advances, payments, and invoices using grain accounting software, managing bills for payment, identifying and resolving exceptions, and maintaining easily accessible status reports, files, and records. The clerk will also handle internal and external customer inquiries, providing positive customer service, and assist in the purchase of farm products like wheat, corn, sorghum, and soybeans. Additionally, the role includes working on special projects under direct supervision and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in math
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel

Responsibilities

  • Process grain accounting transactions
  • Interpret documents from customers (invoices, statements, checks, etc.)
  • Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors
  • Process timely advances, payments and invoices in grain accounting software
  • Process bills for payment
  • Identify and resolve exceptions
  • Maintain status reports, files and records, which are easily accessible
  • Handle both internal and external customer inquiries with positive customer service
  • Assist in the purchase of farm products/commodities such as – but not limited to – wheat, corn, sorghum, and/or soybeans
  • Work on special projects under direct supervision and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
