Requirements

• Must be a current student.
• Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
• Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Responsibilities

• Support undergraduate students in laboratory courses by facilitating hands-on experiments, explaining scientific concepts, ensuring lab safety protocols, and helping students develop practical research skills.
• Assist students in chemistry laboratory sessions by demonstrating proper techniques, explaining chemical principles, maintaining safety standards, and supporting experimental learning.
• Work closely with faculty members to evaluate student assignments, exams, and projects across various courses.
• Pre-lab preparation, guiding students through procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and assessing lab performance.
• Lab setup, student guidance during experiments, equipment maintenance, and evaluation of lab reports and practical skills.
• Applying grading rubrics consistently, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with professors about student progress and grading concerns.
