About The Position

This position will assist the College of Education & Human Development in advancing digital accessibility by reviewing and editing video captions and remediating digital content for programs and courses in the College of Education & Human Development.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in the College of Education & Human Development as a GTA at the University of North Dakota.
• Demonstrated research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Accurate data entry skills
• Strong editing skills, including grammar and spelling (English language)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle materials in a careful and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Nice To Haves

• Experience with caption or transcript editing
• Experience using Blackboard, Yuja or OneDrive
• Experience with accessibility requirements for digital content

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and edit auto-generated captions and transcripts for pre-recorded educational videos
• Review and correct other digital content, such as PDFs, as needed to ensure materials meet accessibility guidelines
