About The Position

The Graduate Program Coordinator I serves a key role in facilitating a positive academic experience for graduate students by assisting graduate student admissions and recruitment activities, student success activities, and performing general administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of current federal, state and institutional policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to admissions.
  • Knowledge of Higher Education
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support event or activity coordination.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and technology. (Word processing, spreadsheet building, database application, etc.)
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to think critically
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Public Health
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Assists with graduate student admission and/or recruitment activities by exercising independent judgement.
  • Identify, recruit, and contribute to increasing the population of enrolled students.
  • Work directly with prospective students and parents through the entire admissions and application process.
  • Provide information on scholarships and grants.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Plans and implements the production of events or activities for graduate students.
  • Travel off-site for recruitment events.
  • Works with local community groups to provide events outside school settings and hours.
  • Performs general administrative tasks that are essential to support program operations.
  • Make referrals to the Aggie One Stop shop.
  • Order swag.
  • Maintains accurate data related to graduate students and programs.
  • Develops and implements strategies for student success activities.
  • Provide information on student employment opportunities
