Teach in an innovative evidence-based graduate program with emphasis in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Teach in other graduate nursing core courses (e.g. quality improvement, informatics, health assessment, evidence-based practice) and interprofessional courses commensurate with department needs. Maintain national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the State of Minnesota. Maintain immunizations and background study clearance and other requirements of the department and college. Willingness to embrace new educational and patient technologies; provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Contribute to student learning and development and chairing or serving on master’s scholarly paper or Doctor of Nursing Practice Project committees. Work effectively with health care industry and community affiliates to address graduate nursing education, research, and practice issues. Assist with Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation processes, program development and growth, program assessment, program evaluation, and curriculum design and delivery. Practice effectively through collaboration with other professionals in the health care industry and the community. Foster cultural intelligence, inclusive excellence, equity, and global involvement through authentic and professional relationships. Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field. Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Contribute to student growth and development including student advising. Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
