About The Position

UPMC Somerset is seeking Graduate Nurses to join their team as full-time Professional Staff Nurses. This is an opportunity for current student nurses graduating in Summer 2027 to secure a role up to a year prior to graduation. UPMC Somerset is a community-based hospital that emphasizes education, growth, and a team-based environment. The Professional Staff Nurse role involves providing highly competent patient care with empathy and a passion for learning. Requirements

• Current student nurse graduating in Summer 2027.
• Eligible for State Board Licensure in the Commonwealth of PA.
• Must take the State Board Nursing Examination within 60 days of hire.
• NIHSS upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• BCLS (upon hire or within 6 Months).
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Act 33 with renewal.
• Act 34.
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
• Applicable required unit specific licensure, certification, and clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to start with TPP and must obtain license within 60 days’ time of beginning position.
