About The Position

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking applications for its Nurse Residency Program, designed for new graduate nurses. This intensive program aims to prepare participants to lead in advancing nursing care for children, adolescents, and young adults through innovation, evidence-based practice, and knowledge sharing. The twelve-month curriculum combines didactic and simulation content to equip new graduate nurses with the skills and confidence to excel as Pediatric Oncology Nurses. The program offers significant support, including assistance for those not yet licensed with NCLEX preparation (study materials, designated study time, group test-prep). It also provides a six-week rotation through various nursing service lines (Inpatient Units, Outpatient Clinics, Nursing Surgical Services) to help participants explore different roles before a "Match Day" to their new team.

Requirements

• Must be a new or upcoming BSN graduate.
• Must have completed BSN program before January 2027.
• BSN required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Resume.
• Copy of transcripts (unofficial acceptable).
• Reference letter.
• Personal statement or cover letter (300 word limit).

Nice To Haves

• 3.2 GPA minimum preferred.
• 3.5 GPA or above highly preferred.

Responsibilities
