About The Position
MidState Medical Center is hiring nurses for its Medical Telemetry Unit. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. The hospital provides clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities through its Telemetry Unit Nurse Residency. MidState Medical Center is an acute-care community teaching hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general medicine and surgery services, along with a wide variety of specialties. It serves patients from birth through the end of life.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current Connecticut RN license required within 90 days of hire.
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent acute-care RN experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Medical Telemetry Unit.
- Practice using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices.
