The Allegheny General 7A Neurovascular Telemetry Unit is a 24 bed telemetry unit providing specialized care for patients with a wide range of neurological and neurovascular conditions. The unit focuses on patients experiencing acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke (including subarachnoid hemorrhage and intracerebral hemorrhage), and transient ischemic attacks (TIAs). Additionally, the unit cares for general and surgical neurological patients with diagnoses ranging from myasthenia gravis to post-surgical tumor resection. The 7A Neurovascular Telemetry team is experienced in managing the complex medical comorbidities often associated with the neurological patient population.
