About The Position

Secure Base Counseling Center (SBCC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated graduate level clinical intern to join our team as a mental health therapist. We’re excited to welcome new interns to our thriving practice! This position involves learning from other therapists through shadowing opportunities, carrying a caseload of therapy clients in one of our outpatient clinics, and learning how to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Interns will provide systemic, trauma-informed care through an attachment lens, and learn how to write diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes that meet DHS standards. The role also offers professional growth through a supportive, reflective supervisor relationship.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a master's program in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to client-centered care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Shadowing opportunities with other therapists
