About The Position
Batten University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Men’s Lacrosse Graduate Assistant. Batten University is located in Virginia Beach, VA, and sponsors 24 varsity sports teams, supporting almost 500 student-athletes. This is a graduate assistant position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier.
Nice To Haves
- College coaching experience.
- Experience as a college lacrosse student-athlete.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of the Men's Lacrosse program including recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching games, planning as well as conducting practices.
- Organizing team travel.
- Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Fundraising.
- Other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations.
