Requirements

  • 2:1 in a relevant engineering degree, such as Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
  • Must be eligible under alternative UK immigration routes that do not require Skilled Worker sponsorship now or at any point in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.
  • In some cases, additional nationality or residency criteria may also apply due to specific client or national security obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Producing designs, calculations, reports, and drawings for new and modified Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects ranging from 11kV to 400kV.
  • Preparing bonding line diagrams, cable rating assessments, induced voltage analyses, short circuit force evaluations, thermo-mechanical thrust calculations, pulling tension assessments, and the development of material specification lists.
  • Contributing to health and safety reviews and hazard identification in accordance with the CDM regulations, also focusing on sustainability and environmental compliance.
