About The Position
Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Land Development / Public Works team in Tavares, FL. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree, and knowledge in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design
- Actively obtaining Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Strong communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works and land development projects
- Assist with drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
