Economics - Graduate Assistant Pool
About The Position
The Department of Economics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool. This is a pool of Graduate Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice. Graduate Assistants provide assistance to faculty in searching for, collecting and summarizing research data and publications. They also assist faculty with evaluating student work and examinations, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, they assist in the departmental office in providing guidance and information.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled graduate student in Economics.
- Excellent computer skills including Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet experience.
- Type 40 CWAM.
- Have a working knowledge of library and internet research.
- Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written.
- Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes.

Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to faculty in searching for, collecting and summarizing research data and publications.
- Assist faculty with evaluating student work and examinations, and other duties as assigned.

Benefits
- Initial appointments are for one semester only.
- Classification Range: $3,245 to $6,072 per month
- Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $3,800
