About The Position
The Department of Sociology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool for the Academic Year 26-27. This pool is for current CSUF graduate students in the Sociology department to assist faculty in various capacities. Appointments from this pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term, with potential for employment on very short notice. Student workers cannot exceed a combined total of 20 hours between all campus jobs, and full-time employees cannot hold a concurrent GA position.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled graduate student in the Sociology department
- A Bachelor’s (i.e. BA) degree in Sociology or related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

Responsibilities
- Assist in the classroom by supervising discussion groups
- Assist in evaluating student work
- Assist faculty in developing source material or literature reviews
- Provide research assistance
- Conduct data analysis
- Provide tutoring, office hours, peer mentorship or advising support to students
