About The Position

The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of offices and services whose professional staff educate and support students and provide opportunities for students and their families to engage with Saint Leo University. Student Affairs staff are dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable professionals with a wealth of experience in providing a wide variety of programs and services. Student Affairs supports students and their families at University Campus, our centers, and those who pursue their degrees online through Worldwide. Graduate Assistants selected for positions in the Division of Student Affairs will grow the following career competency areas: Leadership: Leverage theStrengths of others to achieve common goals and use interpersonal skills to coach and develop others. The Office of Student and Family Engagement’s mission is to create a student-centered environment that will foster meaningful opportunities through campus activities, leadership development, and service opportunities. Student Activities strives to develop a strong community through our clubs and organizations, Greek Life, Campus Activities Board, Student Government Union, Community Service, New Student Orientation, and Parent and Family Programs. The GA for Student and Family Engagement will develop, coordinate, and execute creative and appealing educational, cultural, social, and spirit-based activities to support strategic initiatives and foster community. They will support special programs including but not limited to Campus Activities Board, Lead Scholars, and New Student Orientation. The GA will assist with all division-wide large-scale events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution.
  • Full time enrollment in a Saint Leo University graduate degree program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute creative and appealing educational, cultural, social, and spirit-based activities to support strategic initiatives and foster community.
  • Support special programs including but not limited to Campus Activities Board, Lead Scholars, and New Student Orientation.
  • Assist with all division-wide large-scale events.
