About The Position

Ottawa University, established in 1865, is seeking a Graduate Assistant Student Ambassador Program Coordinator to manage the student ambassador program and support Admissions office functions. This role assists the Admissions Operations Coordinator with training, scheduling, managing, and monitoring the student ambassador program. The university is a multi-campus system serving approximately 4000 students across various locations and an online program, integrating faith, learning, and life in its academic experiences.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted and enrolled in an Ottawa University graduate program.
  • Completed online admissions application.
  • Submission of official undergraduate transcripts (3.0 GPA – minimum requirement) earned bachelor’s degree.
  • Submission of a personal statement regarding career goals and three professional references.
  • Other items as identified by the specific academic program.
  • Completed employment application.
  • Cover letter and resume attached.
  • Eligible to work in the United States and present proper documentation to the Human Resources Department prior to beginning their graduate assistantship.
  • Ability to show initiative and leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily visit coordination.
  • Support the admissions office with various events (Visit Days, Scholars, High Achievers, etc.).
  • Assist in hiring process of student ambassadors.
  • Develop and coordinate onboarding training of all student ambassadors.
  • Develop and coordinate regular training throughout the school year for student ambassadors.
  • Monitor student ambassador productivity using various Salesforce reports.
  • Ensure data integrity within the Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide support to student ambassadors as needed for various tasks within the admissions office.
  • Collect mail regularly.
  • Managing front desk.
  • Create scholarship sheets for incoming students.
  • Assist in social media management for the admissions office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
