About The Position

The Lakeland University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position for the men's basketball program. The GA will provide support to the head coach in areas of recruiting, organizing and running practices, fundraising, promotional activities, and other great opportunitites! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS A successful candidate will be a positive role model to our student-athletes on and off the court, exhibit strong leadership skills, and strive to develop those leadership capabilities within our student-athletes. Requirements

Bachelor's degree and acceptance into the Lakeland University graduate school program are required.
Experience playing and/or coaching basketball is required.
Must have an acceptable driving record.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is required
Demonstrate ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
Demonstrated ability to tactfully and effectively communicate (written and verbal) with a variety of individuals
Strong critical thinking skills
Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Moderate to strenuous physical activity is part of the position.
Requires the ability to run at a reasonable pace.
