About The Position

The Graduate Assistant for Baseball provides support to the head coach in all aspects of operating a competitive collegiate baseball program. This position offers hands-on experience in coaching, recruiting, operations, and student-athlete development while the candidate pursues a graduate degree.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Currently admitted to a UCM graduate degree program
• 3.0 or higher graduate level GPA if previous graduate level courses have been taken
• 2.7 or higher undergraduate level GPA if no previous graduate level courses have been taken
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and skill development.
• Provide instruction during individual and team practices.
• Support in-game coaching, including scouting reports and strategy implementation.
• Identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes.
• Assist with recruiting communications.
• Help coordinate campus visits and recruiting events.
• Assist with team travel arrangements.
• Coordinate equipment and uniform distribution.
• Support game day operations.
• Ensure adherence to NCAA, conference and institutional rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
