About The Position

Ottawa University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Golf Coach to assist with the day-to-day management of the Golf team. This position requires some night and weekend work. Candidates should possess a commitment to Christian higher education and utilize a servant leadership style. The role involves assisting with recruitment, training, coaching, fundraising, academic oversight, administrative duties, and ensuring adherence to NAIA rules and regulations. The Graduate Assistant will also provide leadership for campus involvement, community service, and Christ-centered direction for the program.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted and enrolled in an Ottawa University graduate program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA from undergraduate studies
  • Eligible to work in the United States and present proper documentation
  • Completed online admissions application
  • Submission of official undergraduate transcripts
  • Submission of a personal statement regarding career goals and three professional references
  • Other items as identified by the specific academic program
  • Completed employment application
  • Attach cover letter and resume

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train and coach members of the Golf program
  • Recruit, retain and graduate student-athletes who contribute to the success of the program and vibrancy of campus life
  • Fund and friend raising for the advancement of the program
  • Provide oversight of student-athletes academic progress toward degree completion
  • Assist with any and all administrative duties as assigned
  • Insure adherence to the NAIA and rules and regulations including the NAIA Champions of Character 5 core values
  • Provide leadership for campus involvement and community service
  • Provide Christ-centered leadership and direction for the Golf program
  • Other duties as assigned
