About The Position

Ottawa University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach to assist with the day-to-day management of the women's beach volleyball program. This position requires a commitment to Christian higher education and a servant leadership style. The role involves recruiting, training, and coaching student-athletes, as well as assisting with administrative duties, fundraising, and ensuring adherence to NAIA rules and regulations. The Graduate Assistant will also provide leadership for campus involvement and community service, and offer Christ-centered leadership for the program.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted and enrolled in an Ottawa University graduate program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA earned bachelor's degree
  • Submission of official undergraduate transcripts
  • Submission of a personal statement regarding career goals and three professional references
  • Other items as identified by the specific academic program
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and present the proper documentation
  • Completed employment application
  • Cover letter and resume

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train and coach members of the beach volleyball program
  • Recruit, retain and graduate student-athletes who contribute to the success of the program and vibrancy of campus life
  • Fund and friend raising for the advancement of the program
  • Provide oversight of student-athletes academic progress toward degree completion
  • Assist with all administrative duties as assigned
  • Ensure adherence to the NAIA and rules and regulations including the NAIA Champions of Character 5 core values
  • Provide leadership for campus involvement and community service
  • Provide Christ-centered leadership and direction for the beach volleyball program
  • Other duties as assigned
