Belmont University is seeking a qualified Graduate Admissions Coordinator for the College of Music and Performing Arts (CMPA). This staff position is responsible for recruiting students for graduate programs, specifically the Master of Music. The role involves building prospect and applicant pools, overseeing recruitment and enrollment management, and collaborating with University Marketing and Public Relations (UMPR) on marketing tactics and materials. The coordinator will represent graduate music programs at recruitment events, lead information sessions, conduct facility tours, and serve as the primary contact for prospective students, guiding them through the application process. A key responsibility includes facilitating the audition process, managing online auditions, and coordinating audition day events. The position also involves communicating admission decisions, scholarship offers, and graduate assistantship assignments, as well as participating in the development of new graduate programs and strategic enrollment planning. Continuous improvement of recruiting and enrollment processes, website maintenance, and collaboration with the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services division are also essential. This role requires a thorough understanding of graduate music programs, FERPA policies, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with diverse constituencies in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will also be responsible for handling confidential information, gathering data for reports, and working collaboratively across campus.
