Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in operating earth-moving equipment such as dozers and backhoes.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety standards.
Ability to maintain, inspect, and clean equipment efficiently.
Keen eye for detail, situational awareness, and a conscientious work ethic.
Physical capabilities, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 90 pounds, and navigating uneven surfaces.
Prior experience in grading, reading grade stakes and plans.
Respectful demeanor towards colleagues, customers, and the public.
Flexibility in working hours, teamwork, and self-motivation.
Clean insurable driver license.

Responsibilities

Safely operate various pieces of equipment to achieve precise location and grading as outlined in the plans.
Deliver high-quality finished products on Highway Projects.
Adapt and perform other duties as directed by the grading foreman.
Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment and the movement of mobile equipment.
Perform some manual labor as needed and directed by supervisor.
