About The Position

Responsible for ensuring maximum grade-off quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Requirements

• Ability to inspect and segregate tires by type.
• Ability to stack tires in designated areas.
• Ability to report salvaged tire quantities and types.
• Ability to maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
• Ability to assist in loading tires.
• Attention to detail regarding paperwork for tire dumping and removal.

Responsibilities

• Assist the unloading of tires from the dry-van trailers delivered to BAS.
• Be present when the roll-off containers are dumped in the yard.
• Inspect every tire that has been delivered to the yard and segregate the tires by type: Good tires (grade-off) for resale, Truck tires for shredding, Passenger tires for shredding, Goodyear tires with Polyamide for shredding, Nylon tires for shredding, OTR tires for disposal, Tires with rims.
• After inspection, stack tires in designated areas according to segregated type.
• Report to supervisor daily the quantity and type of good (resalable) tires salvaged.
• Maintain the North and Northeast side of the yard organized and the ground clean of any debris.
• When necessary, help load good tires into customers' trailers.
• Ensure no tires are dumped in the yard without approved paperwork from the office.
• Ensure no good tires are removed from the yard without approved paperwork from the office.
