About The Position

Kainalu Elementary is seeking a dedicated Grade 4 Teacher to design, plan, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture with clear expectations for behavior and academic growth. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring student learning through formative and summative assessments, using data to inform and differentiate instruction, and maintaining open, regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and goals. The role also involves integrating educational technology into daily lessons to enhance learning and digital literacy, collaborating with grade-level teams, special education staff, and school leadership to support school-wide initiatives and student intervention plans, and participating in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school-wide events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Enrollment in a Teacher's Education Program (if hired without completing one)
  • Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
