About The Position

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL) is seeking a dedicated educator to join their team. CCSL is a tuition-free public charter academy serving students in K-12, with a mission to provide a high-quality education that prepares students for success in college and lifelong learning, while strengthening their civic, ethical, and moral values. The school emphasizes efficiency and accountability. CCSL teachers may be assigned a specific grade level or subjects, and may also take on non-instructional duties such as exam proctoring, recess/lunch supervision, or leading clubs. The school encourages teachers to share their talents and hobbies with students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher, and fluency in subject area to be taught.
All required state certifications for position.
Completion of all required reference and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

Teach: Infuse creativity into delivering engaging lessons and ensuring students achieve academic growth.
Manage: Apply school and classroom rules consistently and effectively by utilizing preventive discipline techniques, motivating and engaging students, communicating expectations to students clearly, and establishing and maintaining a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Record: Observe, evaluate, report and record students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Collaborate: Work with parents/guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral or academic struggles and celebrate successes and growth.
Commit: Demonstrate commitment to the school community by adhering to school policies and procedures and meeting attendance and punctuality guidelines.
