About The Position

Lakeview Elementary School serves approximately 370 children from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Lakeview Elementary School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join their Grade 2 Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students in learning, be flexible, and an energetic team player who has: * A strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction; * The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues; * The skill in using assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress; * The ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for Grade 2 learners; * Has strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Requirements

  • Possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Sound understanding of teaching context and contributing variables
