About The Position
École Agnes Davidson Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic French Immersion Grade 2 Teacher. This is a 1.00 FTE temporary position with an expected start date of October 31st, 2026, and completion on June 29, 2027, or based on the return of the incumbent. The school is a single-track elementary school serving approximately 470 students, offering French Immersion programs from Kindergarten to Grade 5. It fosters a positive and creative environment, promoting diversity and inclusion through strong academic programs. The Division is committed to providing culturally authentic learning opportunities and fostering leadership and community partnerships, serving over 12,000 students across 25 schools.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction in French.
- Ability to build positive relationships through collaboration.
- Belief in every child and holding high expectations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- A police information check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
- A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
- Proof of photo identification.
- Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name.
