About The Position

This position is responsible for providing an ideal, positive learning environment for first-grade students. The teacher will instruct students in individual or group sessions, develop, translate and integrate lesson plans, and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. This is a benefit-eligible position with 7.5 hours per day, as per contract.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota teaching license required
• Successful background check required
• Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching
• Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior
• Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents
• Ability to communicate effectively with school staff and parents
• Exemplifies compassion, respect, responsibility, self-discipline and honesty
