About The Position
The Riverside Magnet School at Goodwin University is a public magnet school in East Hartford, CT serving children Pre-K through Grade 5. We are actively searching for a full time 1st Grade Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the learning of students in their classroom integrating the school’s Reggio Emilia philosophy, be student centered, collaborative and knowledgeable about best practice for elementary aged children and enjoy working with a dynamic team of educators. The position is in a public, urban district with small class sizes. There is a strong support network for new and veteran teachers. The school system ensures that teachers have access to the resources and materials they need for high quality instruction. TRB benefits for all certified staff. Applicants must have appropriate CT teaching certification or provide evidence of eligibility. A competitive salary and fringe benefit package is available.
