Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription filling, and exceeding patient expectations with caring service. They will learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team by applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication. Throughout shifts and interactions, they will demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture. The role involves contributing to safe and effective pharmacy operations, following company SOPs, pharmacy workflow procedures, and contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and care. This includes creating personalized moments, keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and services, and solving or escalating patient problems. They will offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history under supervision. They will take telephonic prescriptions and clarify them with prescribers, maintain self-awareness, and provide coaching to team members. Basic inventory activities, contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback are also key. Flexibility for scheduling and business needs, including travel to other stores, is required. Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, as well as CVS policies for patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and privacy, is mandatory.
