About The Position

7 South is a 22-bed Progressive Neuroscience unit specializing in the care of stroke and adult epilepsy patients. As an accredited comprehensive stroke center, the unit can receive and treat complex stroke cases. The epilepsy program performs a range of EEG monitoring. The unit offers a welcoming and warm atmosphere with exceptional teamwork, and it welcomes new graduates and experienced healthcare professionals alike, providing opportunities for continued learning and skill growth.

Requirements

Associates in Nursing Required
Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Responsibilities

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
